Will Internet Explorer 7 be our friend?

Some promising news from the IEBlog: Internet Explorer 7 will support PNG alpha channel transparency and at least two annoying CSS bugs are already fixed. That is the infamous Peekaboo Bug and the Guillotine Bug.
Will IE 7 be web developers’s friend? And will IE 7 pass the Acid2 test? Some see Safari in the first place. I am looking forward to the first beta to be released this summer!
